Matsuyama retains AAC title

Hideki Matsuyama has won back-to-back Asian Amateur Championship titles thanks to a magnificent final round 67 at The Singapore Island Country Club.

The 19-year-old finished on 18-under par, one shot ahead of runner-up Lee Soo-min who shot the week's low round of 64 to secure a place at Final International Qualifying for The Open Championship 2012.

It means the Tohuku Fukushi University student will be returning to the Masters Tournament in April with the opportunity to retain the Silver Cup for low amateur that he won at Augusta National last year.
